Holiday San José Campaign Launches with Press Conference at City Hall
“The marketing team of Ani + Cat created map that makes San Jose look more like Bedford Falls than a city of 1 million people crisscrossed by freeways, but it definitely gets the message across.” - Sal Pizzaro, Mercury News
The inaugural Holiday San José Campaign officially launched today with a press conference at City Hall.
At the heart of the campaign is an illustrated map of San José’s 12 main street districts, designed to connect neighborhoods across the city and inspire residents to shop at their favorite mom-and-pop retailers throughout the holiday season.
The idea for a citywide ‘Shop Local’ program was first championed by the City of San José Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs (OEDCA) through Public Information Officer Elisabeth Handler, APR. Our team worked hand-in-hand with the OEDCA in a months-long creative process to brainstorm, design, and refine the campaign’s sub-brand, map, website content, and messaging.
We invite all San Joséans to explore the map, discover new businesses, and share their experiences using #ShopLocalSJ, helping our neighborhoods thrive this winter and beyond.
