Helping Residents Engage with the General Plan 4-Year Review

We recently partnered with the City of San José Planning, Building and Code Enforcement (PBCE) department to create a series of informational reels designed to increase public awareness and community engagement around the General Plan 4-Year Review process.

The campaign focused on breaking down complex planning topics into short, accessible, and easy-to-understand videos for residents across San José. Through clear messaging, motion graphics, and social-first storytelling, the reels helped explain why the General Plan matters, how it impacts neighborhoods and future development, and how community members could participate in the review process.

Our goal was to make civic engagement feel approachable and encourage more residents to take part in shaping the future of San José. By translating technical information into engaging digital content, the campaign helped expand the reach of an important public planning initiative to broader audiences online.

We’re proud to support projects that strengthen communication between public agencies and the communities they serve.
