Samsung Celebrates 10 Years at North First Street Campus

“Samsung first put down roots in San José in 1983, when our population was just over 600,000. Since then, they have grown alongside our city into a global leader in semiconductor design and manufacturing…” - City of San José Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs (OEDCA)

This past Friday, our team joined the City of San José Office of Economic Development at the celebration of Samsung Semiconductor’s 10th Anniversary of its Device Solutions America Headquarters in North San José. The event, attended by hundreds of employees, City Councilmember David Cohen, Mayor Matt Mahan, and Congressmember Sam Liccardo, marked more than four decades of innovation and partnership in San José.

We were onsite to document the milestone, capturing the energy of the celebration and recognition from civic leaders. Samsung has contributed significantly to San José’s economy and community through job creation, innovation, and investments in STEM education, food security, and pandemic recovery.
