The Alameda CBID Becomes City’s First Property Based Improvement District Approved in 15 Years.

This summer, property owners formally approved the formation of a Community Benefit Improvement District along The Alameda and surrounding streets. The Alameda CBID (TACBID) is the first property based improvement district to be formed in San José in 15 years. The district will officially take effect in January, 2026.

This success follows two years of work under contract for the City of San José Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs to build capacity for The Alameda Business Association and garner consensus among district property owners.
